Jay-Z, the rapper/mogul thought to be worth more than $450 million, is set to cash in on the 99% he has previously championed.

Due out today, Jay-Z’s Rocawear clothing label is launching a new line of T-shirts, branded with the strikingly familiar phrase “Occupy All Streets,” according to Business Insider.

Some fans tweeted their fury at the news that none of the profits from the tees will go to the Occupy Wall Street movement. One user branded Jay-Z, born Shawn Carter, as “pathetic,” while another wrote “It’s sad that there is finally a youth movement to change things and celebrities like Jay-Z will try and co-opt to make an extra buck.”

Photos of Jay-Z sporting one of the shirts with hip-hop magnate Russell Simmons were met with great interest earlier this week, and the shirts are currently on sale at Rocawear.com. Simmons has been a strong supporter of the Occupy movement, and lavished praise on Jay-Z, tweeting “love Jay-Z’s t-shirt. glad i got mine today.”

A Rocawear spokesperson told Business Insider that while the T-shirt was created in support of OWS, “we have not made an official commitment to monetarily support the movement.” But is a message of solidarity enough without the financial support to back it up?
