Hillary Clinton took aim at Donald Trump‘s readiness for the White House during Monday night’s presidential debate, after he chided her for reports that she had spent a lot of time studying for the showdown.
“You criticize me for preparing for this debate,” Clinton said. “And, yes, I did. Do you know what else I prepared for? I also prepared to be president.”
The issue of preparation has been a significant contrast between the two campaigns, with Clinton viewed more as a policy wonk and Trump viewed more as someone who relies on his instincts. The candidates themselves have put forth these characterizations as well.
