Bradley Cooper lost some Republican fans after attending the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday night. Conservatives took to social media to complain about the actor as cameras repeatedly cut to him while he watched the speeches.
“I have a list of celebrities that support Socialsim I refuse to spend another $ on,” one Twitter user wrote, posting a picture of Cooper concentrating at the convention. “Add this one. Boycott them all.”
Cooper was among many celebrities who have attended the convention, including Meryl Streep, Lena Dunham and America Ferrera. But Republicans were angered by Cooper’s attendance in particular because he played Navy SEAL Chris Kyle in the Clint Eastwood film American Sniper. Kyle became a hero for conservatives, and apparently some thought Cooper held the same political views.
