A California man’s proposal to his girlfriend nearly put him over the edge—but not in a bad way. He literally ended up stranded on a ledge about 80 feet off the ground on Morro Rock in California.
Michael Banks had climbed the rock to pop the question over FaceTime. She said yes, but then he got stuck, and rescuers were called in via helicopter, the Associated Press reports via Morro Bay Fire Captain Todd Gailey.
“The gentleman will be billed for the chopper ride and other related costs,” according to a post on the City of Morro Bay’s Facebook page.
